Faxing with AI agents
Yes. An active workspace fax number receives the fax, and a webhook notifies your endpoint. Your agent can then retrieve the fax with authorized MCP access. Document access follows your plan’s retention period.
Your agent can use an existing workspace number. Workspace admins can also search for and confirm a US or Canadian number using an available number slot. Connecting MCP does not change your plan.
A webhook sends an event to an HTTPS endpoint you provide. Your workflow handles that event and starts the agent. A normal assistant conversation does not stay running to listen for new faxes.
You review the recipient, documents, page count, and sending number before confirming. Your agent then sends through DearFax using your workspace’s allowance.
