- 1Enable Developer mode in Settings → Security and login, then open Plugins and add a connection.

Faxing with ChatGPT
Use Connect ChatGPT above to copy a prompt with the setup steps, or follow Manual setup. You’ll add DearFax’s hosted MCP server, sign in to DearFax, approve access, and select DearFax in your conversation. Connection options depend on your ChatGPT account and workspace settings.
ChatGPT can pass a selected attachment to DearFax through its file tools. Attach the document and provide the recipient’s fax number, then ask ChatGPT to prepare the fax. DearFax accepts PDFs and supported images, up to 20 MB per file and 350 pages per fax, including the cover.
The DearFax workflow requires a review and confirmation before sending. ChatGPT should show you the recipient, documents, page count, and sending number. Confirm those details before approving the send action. Permission to send is separate from permission to read your fax activity.
With permission to read inbound documents, ChatGPT can retrieve a received fax and help summarize it. Access to an activity list alone does not include document contents. Your DearFax workspace needs a receiving plan and an active fax number to receive faxes.
Disconnect DearFax in ChatGPT’s connection settings. To block requests from every connected assistant, open Account settings → Integrations in DearFax and turn off MCP access. Drafts you already created remain in your workspace.
