Faxing with Claude
Add DearFax as a custom connector in Claude using the hosted MCP server address in Manual setup. Sign in to DearFax and approve access, then ask Claude to list your workspaces. Your team’s admin may need to add the connector first, and the connection requires an approved DearFax client registration.
Uploading a document to Claude does not by itself make the file available to DearFax. The connector needs a supported file transfer or a direct HTTPS download link that DearFax can retrieve. Once the document is available, ask Claude to prepare a fax for your recipient and review the details before sending.
Yes, once connected. Tell Claude the cover message you want and ask it to update the fax draft. Review the updated documents and page count before confirming the send. The cover page counts toward the fax’s total page limit.
Ask Claude to list your DearFax workspaces, then choose one before preparing a fax or checking your inbox. Claude can only act within the access you approve and your existing workspace permissions. Reading incoming documents requires separate permission.
Disconnect DearFax in Claude’s connector settings. You can also turn off MCP access in DearFax under Account settings → Integrations to block all connected assistants. Removing the connection does not remove your saved fax drafts.
