Send faxes with Perplexity.

How it works
Send and manage faxes from Perplexity
Set up your connection
Check the setup requirements below. Once your client is supported and connected, choose the DearFax workspace you want to use.
Prepare your fax
Share a supported document link and the recipient’s fax number. Ask your agent to prepare a draft for review.
Review and follow up
Check the recipient, documents, and page count before confirming. Ask for delivery updates or incoming fax activity.
Manual setup
Automate faxes through MCP
Connect your agent to DearFax’s hosted MCP server to send faxes, manage incoming faxes, and check delivery.
Perplexity
- 1Check Perplexity’s connector settings for remote MCP availability on your account.
- 2DearFax needs a remote MCP connection with OAuth. The local MCP setup alone does not connect to this server.
- 3Once remote access is available, contact DearFax to review client registration before connecting.
https://app.dearfax.com/api/mcpPerplexity’s help center lists remote MCP as coming soon. A DearFax connection has not been verified.
Frequently asked questions
Faxing with Perplexity
Check whether your Perplexity account offers a remote MCP connector with OAuth. DearFax compatibility with Perplexity has not yet been verified. If the remote connector is available, contact DearFax to review client registration before trying the connection.
The local MCP setup alone does not connect to DearFax’s hosted server. DearFax needs a remote connection with OAuth sign-in. Follow the remote connector path available to your account rather than entering the server address as a local command.
Attachment transfer from Perplexity to DearFax has not been verified. A file visible in a conversation is not necessarily available to an MCP tool. Once the connection is working, DearFax needs a supported file transfer or a direct HTTPS download link before it can prepare the fax.
Once connected, the DearFax workflow requires a review of the recipient, documents, page count, and sending number. Confirm those details before approving the send action. A request to prepare a fax is not a confirmation to send it.
You still need a DearFax account and workspace. Your Perplexity subscription controls access to Perplexity’s connector features; your DearFax plan controls fax sending, page allowances, and receiving. DearFax MCP access is included on every DearFax plan.
