Send faxes with Microsoft Copilot.

How it works
Send and manage faxes from Microsoft Copilot
Set up your connection
Check the setup requirements below. Once your client is supported and connected, choose the DearFax workspace you want to use.
Prepare your fax
Share a supported document link and the recipient’s fax number. Ask your agent to prepare a draft for review.
Review and follow up
Check the recipient, documents, and page count before confirming. Ask for delivery updates or incoming fax activity.
Manual setup
Automate faxes through MCP
Connect your agent to DearFax’s hosted MCP server to send faxes, manage incoming faxes, and check delivery.

- 1In Copilot Studio, open your agent’s Tools page and add a Model Context Protocol tool.

- 3Work with DearFax to register your client and callback URL before completing the connection and testing your agent.
https://app.dearfax.com/api/mcpRequires Copilot Studio and an approved OAuth registration. DearFax compatibility has not yet been verified; this is not a direct connection in consumer Copilot chat.
Frequently asked questions
Faxing with Microsoft Copilot
The setup on this page is for an agent built in Copilot Studio. It does not directly connect DearFax to consumer Copilot chat. A maker or admin needs to configure the agent’s MCP tool, and DearFax compatibility still needs end-to-end verification.
Add a Model Context Protocol tool on your agent’s Tools page and enter DearFax’s hosted server address. Choose OAuth 2.0 with manual configuration. Work with DearFax to register the client and callback URL before completing sign-in and testing the connection.
A OneDrive or SharePoint sharing link is not automatically a downloadable document for DearFax. Your agent needs a supported file transfer or a direct HTTPS download link that DearFax can retrieve. File transfer through this Copilot Studio connection has not yet been verified.
Configure the agent’s workflow to show the DearFax review and wait for explicit confirmation before sending. The review includes the recipient, documents, page count, and sending number. Test that approval step before making the agent available to your team.
You need access to Copilot Studio to configure the agent, plus a DearFax account and workspace for fax operations. Microsoft licensing and DearFax billing are separate. The agent uses your DearFax workspace’s existing permissions, page allowance, and sending eligibility.
