Before your team switches
No. 1Fax is outbound-only. If your team needs replies, DearFax paid plans include a dedicated receiving number.
Yes. Email to fax is included on Pro and Business. A workspace admin enables it, then each member chooses a sending workspace in account settings. Email attachments from your verified primary account email to +[country code][fax number]@dearfax.com. Your message becomes the cover page, and you can track delivery in DearFax.
Check its status in Sent before trying again. DearFax distinguishes failed faxes from delivered ones. Confirmed failure releases unused page allowance; pages already confirmed as delivered still count.
DearFax’s standard document retention is 30 days on Free, one year on Pro, and two years on Business. Download documents you need to keep beyond your plan’s retention period.
Start a porting request to check whether your number is eligible for transfer to DearFax. Keep your current service active until the number is ready to receive in DearFax. Preparing a fax in DearFax does not transfer your number or change your existing service.
Sent and received pages share the paid allowance. Additional outbound sending pauses when the allowance is exhausted; incoming faxes continue to arrive. DearFax does not automatically charge for overage pages. Review your usage and plan options before a busy month.
It records the fax provider’s delivery result. Delivered means the provider confirmed delivery; it does not mean a person has opened or read your document.
